Description
PT 100.300 is a PTFE-coated temperature measuring sensor with a probe length of 300 mm and a diameter of 8 mm. The inert PTFE jacket protects the sensing element from aggressive media and minimises contamination risk during immersion in reaction mixtures. Designed for laboratory reactor work, the sensor fits reactor vessels of 100 ml (SY 100 and SY 100 D), 250 ml (SY 250 and SY 250 D), 500 ml (SY 500 and SY 500 D) and 1000 ml (SY 1000 and SY 1000 D). Accurate temperature feedback is essential for controlled heating, cooling and isothermal holds in synthesis and process development. The 300 mm immersion length reaches well into the liquid phase of these vessel sizes while the slim 8 mm profile limits interference with stirring elements. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer IKA, the sensor integrates into EasySyn-type setups where reliable, chemically resistant temperature measurement is required. Net weight is 0,120 kg. PTFE construction supports repeated use across diverse solvent systems without metallic contact with the process fluid.

Questions about PT 100.300, Temperature sensor 300 mm
What is this article?
PT 100.300, Temperature sensor 300 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de précision.
A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.
A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
