The reference liquids or reference oils, also known as test fluids or test oils IRM, are mineral oils with different paraffin and aromatic content. IRM 901 has the lowest aromatic content, IRM 903 the highest. For elastomer testing according to ASTM D471-06 or ASTM D5964-07.
