Description
Rotor F-45-18-17 Cryo is a fixed-angle rotor supplied without rotor lid and without adapters for Centrifuge 5702, 5702 R, and 5702 RH. It provides 18 sample positions and is intended for centrifugation of 1–2 mL cryo vessels (maximum 13 mm diameter when used with adapter) and screw-cap vessels up to a maximum diameter of 17 mm without an adapter. Maximum speed is 1970 × g (4400 rpm), supporting cryovial and screw-cap tube applications in cold-chain, biobanking, and general laboratory sample work. Quiet operation is maintained even without a rotor lid, which helps during repeated loading cycles. Rotors and adapters are autoclavable at 121 °C for 20 min, supporting standard sterilization intervals. Packed as one piece from manufacturer Eppendorf, the unit has a net weight of 1,125 kg and a gross weight of 1,250 kg with a packaging volume of 0,007 m³. The Cryo-oriented design bridges cryogenic storage tubes and larger screw-cap formats on the same 5702-series platform, giving laboratories a dedicated angle rotor when protocols move beyond standard 1,5/2,0 mL microcentrifuge tubes while remaining within the stated diameter limits.
