Description
Rotor S-4x500 is a swing-bucket rotor of medium capacity for Centrifuge 5910 R and Centrifuge 5910 Ri, supplied with four 500 mL rectangular buckets. It accepts vessels and bottles from 0,2 mL to 500 mL as well as plates, and reaches a maximum of 3.220 × g at 4,000 rpm. Mixed loading with two plate buckets and two rectangular buckets increases flexibility when different formats must be run in one protocol. Aerosol-tight caps for safer centrifugation of hazardous samples are available optionally; aerosol tightness of the relevant closures has been tested by Public Health England, Porton Down (United Kingdom). Buckets, caps and adapters are autoclavable. Offered as a complete set with 4 × 500 mL rectangular buckets from manufacturer Eppendorf, this rotor supports versatile sample handling across tubes, bottles and microplates in research and routine labs.
