Description
Safety Cap I, V2.0, GL/S40 is a specialised screw closure for safe HPLC solvent supply, fitted with one PFA fitting for capillary outer diameters of 1,6/2,3/3,2 mm plus an integrated ventilation valve with change indicator. It blocks harmful solvent vapours and shields the HPLC system from contamination while allowing secure withdrawal of solvents from bottles and containers. Made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), the cap provides strong chemical resistance to aggressive organic solvents. The 360° rotatable screw closure is autoclavable up to 200 °C, combining flexibility with straightforward handling. A stable construction, clear connection layout and improved design for colour-coded capillaries support reliable laboratory use. Continuously refined for more than twenty years by manufacturer SCAT, these safety caps deliver pressure equalisation via the free air valve included with every unit. Supplied as one piece, the Safety Cap I V2.0 offers durable materials and practical ergonomics for everyday HPLC solvent management.

Questions about Safety Cap I, V2.0, GL/S40
What is this article?
Safety Cap I, V2.0, GL/S40 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SCAT for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Sécurité.
A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.
Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
