Scott volumeter is a complete bulk-density apparatus for determining the bulk (fill) density and structural uniformity of metallic and other powdered sample materials. Powder is fed into a pouring funnel fitted with a 1,00 mm (mesh 18) sieve; beneath the sieve a distributor with four thick-walled glass baffle plates guides the material into a lower funnel that discharges into a 25 ml measuring cup. Bulk density is obtained by differential weighing under controlled conditions. The full stainless-steel assembly from Landgraf HLL comprises the sieve funnel, glass-baffle distributor with funnel outlet, 25 ml ± 0,05 ml stainless-steel measuring beaker, glass collecting dish, marked special stand, scraper blade, spanner and operating instructions. Modular construction simplifies operation and cleaning. Normative references include USP 616 method II, European Pharmacopoeia 2.9.34, DIN ISO 3923 and ASTM B329. Net weight is approximately 4 kg.
