SI 400 is a safety limit switch assembly comprising an end switch with normally-closed contact and a magnetic actuator. Mounted via brackets SI 474 or SI 472 on floor or telescopic stands, it permits the RW 47 digital overhead stirrer to start only when the mixing tool has reached the operator-defined working height inside the vessel. Raising the drive immediately cuts power to the motor. The same unit is compatible with T 65 basic and T 65 digital ULTRA-TURRAX® dispersers. End-switch dimensions are 84 × 19 × 16 mm; the magnetic contact measures 73 × 10 × 19 mm. Housing is ABS plastic rated IP 67, with a special safety reed contact rated max. 250 VAC / 2 A and an operating range of −10 to 65 °C. Offered as a single piece from manufacturer IKA, this accessory adds essential height-dependent interlocking for safe laboratory mixing and dispersing operations.
