- Extraction of moderately polar and acidic compounds.
- Hydrogen bonding and weak anion exchange function, with pKa <9.8
- Retains polar compounds, carbohydrates, dyes, lipids and mycotoxins
- Also used as a WAX (weak anion exchanger) to retain strong anions, such as sulfonic acids, from aqueous solutions, and as a scavenger for strong acids, chlorides, isocyanates and electrophiles
- Metal scavenger for Pd, Ru, Rh, Cu, Fe, Co and Ni
