Description

Cell culture flasks, sterile, 50 ml, standard are ready-to-use vessels for adherent cell work in closed systems. Manufactured from USP Class VI crystalline polystyrene under cleanroom class 100000 conditions, they feature a treated growth surface, a flat base without grooves to maximise usable area, and an angled neck that improves access for pipettes and cell scrapers. Raised graduations on both sides and a writing field beside the neck support clear identification and volume control. Each flask is fitted with a blind polyethylene standard lid intended for closed culture setups. The vessels are beta-ray sterilised and certified free of DNase, RNase and pyrogens, then packed in resealable bags for convenient bench use. Nominal volume is 50 ml (0,05 l) in polystyrene (PS). This Labbox configuration is supplied as 4 × 50 pieces (200 flasks total), giving laboratories a practical bulk pack for routine tissue-culture workflows where a non-vented closure is preferred.

This article is part of Cell culture flasks, in Cell culture.

Questions about Sterile treated culture flasks, 50 ml, standard, 4 x 50 pcs

What is this article?

Sterile treated culture flasks, 50 ml, standard, 4 x 50 pcs is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Cell culture flasks, inside Cell culture, in Milieux microbiologiques.

A culture flask is a flat vessel with a cap, treated so adherent cells attach, or untreated for suspension cells. Growth area in square centimetres, the cap filter or a plug seal, and the treatment are the specification. A filter cap allows gas exchange. A plug seal does not.

Cell culture grows cells outside the body. The medium, often with serum, supplies what the flask does not. A flask or a dish is the vessel, treated so the cells attach or left untreated so they float. Contamination by microbes, or by another cell line, is the ordinary failure. Cold-chain articles in this work, including serum, are never part of free standard delivery. Lines are catalogued by ATCC. Papers are on PubMed. Practice is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic.
