testo 104-IR IR penetration thermometer combines non-contact infrared surface measurement with a fold-out penetration probe for core-temperature checks in one compact instrument. Designed for food temperature control at goods receipt, during transport or on retail inspection rounds, it covers a measuring range from −50 °C to +250 °C. A precise two-point laser with 10:1 optics marks the exact measurement spot for reliable surface readings on individual packs or whole pallets. When surface values fall outside limits, the foldable penetration probe enables core checks on meat and sausage products; after use the probe stows safely on the housing. The instrument powers on when the probe is unfolded, infrared measurement starts at the push of a button, and results appear clearly on the large display. Waterproof to IP65 and tested to EN 13485 as well as HACCP-conform, the unit from manufacturer Testo is ready for daily cold-chain verification along the entire food supply chain.
