Description

testoterm measuring points for +65 °C are self-adhesive, temperature-sensitive films that indicate temperature exceedance by a distinct colour change. They support temperature monitoring of products and processes where a defined limit must not be crossed, on components, assemblies or packaging that need a simple permanent indicator. Supplied in a booklet of 50 points from manufacturer Testo, each point peels off like a sticker and is applied directly to the measurement object. As soon as the stated temperature of +65 °C is exceeded, the measuring point changes colour within 2 to 3 seconds. The colouration is irreversible: once the threshold has been passed, the point does not reverse even if the temperature falls again, so a critical exceedance can still be read after longer periods. This makes the points practical for laboratory use, production checks, storage and transport monitoring whenever a single fixed temperature threshold needs reliable documentation without continuous instrumentation.

This article is part of Digital thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about testoterm Measuring points (+65 °C)

What is this article?

testoterm Measuring points (+65 °C) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Testo for laboratory use. It sits in Digital thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de laboratoire.

A digital thermometer is a display plus a sensor. The resolution on the screen can be finer than the accuracy. The stated accuracy and the calibration point are what the number is worth. The probe type has to be the one the meter expects.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
