Description

TetraCon® 925/LV-P is a 4-pole IDS conductivity measuring cell featuring graphite electrodes, an epoxy shaft and a cell constant of 0,469 cm⁻¹ in fork design. Optimised for conductivity work with small volumes from approximately 2,5 ml and with viscous samples, its specialised geometry substantially reduces the required sample quantity. The sensor is equipped with a plug head for connection to AS/IDS-x cables or a wireless module, providing modular flexibility without a permanently attached cable. Graphite electrodes deliver stable measurement characteristics, complemented by the chemically resistant epoxy shaft. This model from manufacturer WTW - a Xylem brand belongs to the IDS digital sensor family, supporting intelligent communication and sensor management. It is well suited to laboratories handling limited sample amounts or high-viscosity liquids in research, quality assurance and process development. The plug-head configuration permits easy cable exchange or wireless operation. Supplied as a single unit for compatible systems.

This article is part of Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about TetraCon® 925/LV-P, 4-electrode-IDS conductivity cell with graphite electrodes,

What is this article?

TetraCon® 925/LV-P, 4-electrode-IDS conductivity cell with graphite electrodes, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes WTW - a Xylem brand for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Instruments de laboratoire.

A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
