Description

TN480 Infrared Turbidity Meter with GLP data logger performs fast, reliable turbidity measurements of liquids in accordance with ISO 7027 and DIN EN 27027. An infrared LED (860 ± 30 nm) and nephelometric 90° scattering method cover the range 0 – 1000 NTU with automatic range selection (0,01 – 19,99 / 20,0 – 99,9 / 100 – 1000 NTU). Accuracy is ≦ ±2 % of reading plus stray light; resolution reaches 0,01 NTU and stray light is ≦ 0,02 NTU. TruRead™ mode handles rapidly settling or fluctuating samples. Up to 200 data sets can be stored and transferred via USB. A large TFT colour display with on-screen guidance ensures simple operation. The IP67 housing suits laboratory and field use, including drinking-water and environmental monitoring. The complete kit from manufacturer APERA Instruments includes AMCOClear® polymer standards (0, 20, 100, 400, 800 NTU), six sample vials, silicone oil, microfibre cloth, USB accessories, batteries and carrying case. Instrument size is 90 × 203 × 80 mm (385 g); the full set weighs 1,5 kg.

Questions about TN480 Infrared Turbidimeter with GLP Data Logger, ISO 7027 compliant

What is this article?

TN480 Infrared Turbidimeter with GLP Data Logger, ISO 7027 compliant is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes APERA Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in Data loggers, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de laboratoire.

A data logger stores a temperature, a humidity or another signal over time, so a shipment or a room has a record rather than a spot reading. The interval, the memory and the sensor range are the specification. A logger that is full has stopped being a record.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
