Description

twin.tec® microbiology PCR plate 384 skirted is a clear 384-well plate built for high-throughput PCR where absolute purity and detectable freedom from bacterial DNA are essential. With a 45 µL well volume, PCR clean certification and additional freedom from bacterial DNA, the plate supports demanding microbiology and molecular biology workflows. Each plate is individually blistered to preserve cleanliness, and the format is also well suited to quantitative real-time PCR; the OptiTrack® matrix enables faster sample identification and fewer pipetting mistakes. Barcoding can be requested for skirted and semi-skirted versions. Supplied as ten plates per pack from manufacturer Eppendorf, this skirted twin.tec microbiology plate is intended for laboratories running sensitive PCR, qPCR and bacterial-DNA-critical assays that need consistent, high-purity consumables. The skirted design provides robust plate handling on cyclers and automation platforms while retaining the twin.tec dual-material concept associated with this series.

This article is part of PCR plates, tubes & strips, in Microplates, PCR & reaction tubes.

Questions about twin.tec 384, micro. Clear PK/10

What is this article?

twin.tec 384, micro. Clear PK/10 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in PCR plates, tubes & strips, inside Microplates, PCR & reaction tubes, in Consommables.

PCR plates, tubes and strips are thin-walled so a thermal cycler can change the sample temperature quickly. A skirted plate is what a robot grips. White wells reflect light for qPCR. A standard 1.5 mL tube in a cycler block does not make proper contact.

A microplate is an array of wells so the same step can be done many times. A deep-well plate holds more volume. A PCR plate or a strip of tubes is thin-walled so the temperature of a cycler reaches the liquid quickly. A seal keeps the well from evaporating. The well number, the working volume and whether the plate is skirted for a robot are the choices. Diagnostic test systems are listed under ISO in vitro diagnostic systems. Methods are on PubMed.
