Description

USB Digital Camera Snap, IMX335(C), is a 5MP laboratory imaging camera built on a Sony CMOS sensor in 1/2.8'' format with a native resolution of 2592 × 1944 pixels. Designed for microscopy accessory use and digital documentation, it forms part of the Snap 1S series and uses USB 2.0 for fast image transfer. The aluminium housing and MJPEG compression enable frame rates up to 30 FPS at this resolution class, while an integrated ISP engine delivers excellent colour reproduction, ROI white balance and an ultra-fine colour engine for stills and video. Spectral sensitivity spans 380–650 nm. Cross-platform SDK support covers Windows, Linux, macOS and Android. Host compatibility includes Windows XP/10, macOS and Linux, with a recommended Intel Core2 2,8 GHz CPU and 2 GB RAM. Power is provided by DC 5 V through the USB connection. Operating temperature ranges from −10 °C to 50 °C at 30–80 % relative humidity. Supplied as 1 pc from manufacturer Labbox, this model includes a two-year warranty for laboratory optical imaging applications.

Questions about USB Digital Camera Snap, IMX335(C), 1/2.8'', 2592 x 1944 pixels, 5MP

What is this article?

USB Digital Camera Snap, IMX335(C), 1/2.8'', 2592 x 1944 pixels, 5MP is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Instruments de laboratoire.

An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
