Description
Vacuum drying oven VD023-230V is a BINDER VD-series unit for gentle vacuum drying with precise temperature control. The temperature range extends from +9 °C above ambient temperature up to +220 °C, supported by a controller with digital display of pressure and temperature. Program-controlled drying monitoring provides automatic ventilation at process end, while an internal data logger stores measured values that can be read out via USB in an open format. One individually positionable aluminium expansion rack uses patented expansion-rack technology for optimal heat transfer; the interior is easy to clean. Universal ventilation can be used with inert gas or ambient air, and a DN 16 port allows introduction of external measuring equipment. A spring-mounted safety glass pane with splinter protection and a large viewing window (optional interior lighting) support safe observation. Computer interface options include Ethernet; the unit also offers a USB interface. With a nominal volume of 24 l, 1400 W power consumption and 230 V AC supply (Euro plug type C), this oven from manufacturer Binder is suited to controlled vacuum drying in laboratory environments. Gross weight is 73 kg (net 71 kg).

Questions about Vacuum drying chambers VD023-230V
What is this article?
Vacuum drying chambers VD023-230V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Binder for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Instruments de laboratoire.
A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
