Description

Water Multi-Distributor evenly distributes water from any chosen source to as many as five reflux condensers within a laboratory assembly. Standard practice calls for two multi-distributors: one unit delivers the cooling water while the second collects the return stream, either for recirculation or final discharge. Every connection piece is equipped with a leak-free coupling that shuts automatically as soon as the line is separated, so the manifold can be operated safely with any number of condensers up to the maximum of five. This practical accessory from manufacturer Heidolph streamlines parallel cooling circuits and minimises spill risk when stations are added or removed. With a net weight of 0,361 kg and a gross weight of 0,408 kg the device remains compact and easy to integrate. Packaging dimensions are 0,13 m depth, 0,12 m width and 0,07 m height, giving a volume of 0,001 m³. It is intended for synthesis laboratories that need dependable multi-channel water distribution without elaborate custom manifolds.

Questions about Water-distribution manifold

What is this article?

Water-distribution manifold is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Matériel de laboratoire.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
