Description

Weight 200 g, OIML E1 is a high-precision individual calibration weight intended for laboratory and metrology applications. Belonging to OIML Class E1, it offers high accuracy, tight tolerances and a guaranteed uncertainty equal to one-third of the tolerance. The weight surfaces fulfil or surpass OIML R 111 and receive a mirror-smooth high-gloss polish. Nominal masses from 1 g to 20 kg are produced from Troemner Alloy 8 stainless steel, characterised by a strictly controlled density of 8,03 g/cm³, extremely low magnetic susceptibility, good long-term stability and reliable corrosion resistance. Each weight arrives in a high-quality case that maintains cleanliness, security and freedom from dust, protecting the calibration asset. This single piece meets or exceeds the tolerances of OIML classes E1, E2, F1 and F2 and is therefore suitable for accurate balance and scale verification. Supplied by manufacturer Ohaus, the 200 g model has a net mass of 0,2 kg and a height of 46,74 mm, providing a practical format for everyday calibration tasks in research and industrial settings.

Questions about Weight 1P OIML 200g CLE1 NoCert TR

What is this article?

Weight 1P OIML 200g CLE1 NoCert TR is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Ohaus for laboratory use. It sits in Calibration & test weights, inside Balances & scales, in Instruments de laboratoire.

A test weight is a mass of a stated class, used to check a balance. The class sets the tolerance. A weight that is dirty, or that has been handled with bare fingers, is no longer that class. The certificate ties the weight to a standard.

A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
