Description
WF 30x/8 eyepiece, L100 is a high-magnification wide-field ocular for the LYNX stereo microscope platform employed in industrial inspection, electronics, gemmology and quality control. It offers 30× magnification with an 8 mm field of view and suits L100 instruments in binocular or trinocular layout, featuring Greenough optics, a head inclined at 45° and rotatable through 360°, interpupillary distance adjustable from 54 to 75 mm, and bilateral diopter correction of ±5. Combined with the continuous zoom range of 0,67× to 4,5× (ratio 6,7:1), the system covers a standard magnification of 6,7× to 45× and can reach up to 270× with optional accessories. A working distance of 105 mm allows comfortable examination of bulky samples. Focusing uses rack-and-pinion drive with bilateral controls; the base incorporates a transparent stage plate with clips and dual adjustable LED illumination (incident and transmitted) with intensity regulation. This single-piece eyepiece from manufacturer Labbox provides a higher-power wide-field option for L100 / LYNX stereo microscopes in laboratory and production environments.
This article is part of Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about WF 30x/8 eyepiece, L100
What is this article?
WF 30x/8 eyepiece, L100 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Instruments de laboratoire.
An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
