Description

Zinc Standard Solution is a metallo-organic analytical standard containing 5000 mg/kg Zn dissolved in 20 cSt hydrocarbon oil. Designed for AAS and ICP, this ROTI®Star preparation provides zinc in an oil matrix for calibration and related analytical measurements. The hydrocarbon oil carrier has a density of 0,862 g/cm³, a flash point of 115 °C and a boiling point above 218 °C. It is supplied in a 50 ml pack with a weight of 0,100 kg, a practical volume for preparing working dilutions in the analytical laboratory. This zinc standard solution from manufacturer Carl ROTH forms part of the metallo-organic standards used when zinc must be quantified in hydrocarbon media by atomic absorption or ICP. The concentration of 5000 mg/kg Zn is expressed on a mass basis in the 20 cSt oil, which is the usual convention for oil-soluble metal standards. Density 0,862 g/cm³ and the 50 ml fill allow volume-to-mass conversion for this oil-based zinc standard. Flash point 115 °C and boiling point above 218 °C complete the physical characterisation of the 20 cSt hydrocarbon oil.
