BOLA-balgen NS 45/40 – NS 45/40 bieden een flexibele PTFE-verbinding tussen overeenkomende grote slijpstukken in laboratoriumapparatuur. Volledig vervaardigd uit polytetrafluoroethylene met ronde plooien en afdichtringen aan de buitenzijde van de slijpstukkern, maken zij een hoekdoorbuiging tot 40° mogelijk, wat helpt om een lichte scheefstand te compenseren zonder glaswerk te belasten. De huls en de kern zijn beide NS 45/40, en de totale lengte loopt van een minimum van 128 mm tot een maximum van 144 mm. PTFE biedt een brede chemische bestendigheid en houdt het procesmedium uitsluitend in contact met een inert fluoropolymeeroppervlak, wat voordelig is bij corrosieve toepassingen, toepassingen met hoge zuiverheid of vacuümtoepassingen.
