DURAN®-rondbodemkolf met vlakke flens met gegroefde flens is een reactievat met groot volume, bedoeld als praktisch alternatief voor conventionele rondbodemkolven. Gemaakt van borosilicaatglas 3.3, heeft deze kolf met een nominale capaciteit van 20 l een vlakke flens DN 100 waarvan de groef een O-ring opneemt voor een stevige, lekdichte afdichting. De geometrie en de aanzienlijke wanddikte maken het vat druk- en vacuümdicht tot het technisch maximaal haalbare vacuüm, wat de gebruiker een hoog niveau van operationele veiligheid geeft wanneer de relevante veiligheidsinstructies worden nageleefd. Het onderste vat wordt met een passend deksel gecombineerd door middel van een klemring; een pakking of slijpvet voorkomt dat de afdichtingsvlakken vastlopen.
