DURAN® Petrischaal, geperst, met derde verdeling en een diameter van 100 mm is een vlakke, ronde, transparante kweekschaal met deksel, bedoeld voor het kweken van micro-organismen op gelachtige voedingsmedia. De vaste gel voorkomt vermenging van de micro-organismen, zodat grotere celkweekkolonies zich kunnen vormen. Vervaardigd uit borosilicaatglas 3.3 via een gespecialiseerd proces bieden de schalen een gelijkmatige verdeling van het voedingsmedium en een vervormingsvrije waarneming. Deksel rusten rechtstreeks op de bodem, waardoor turbulentie in de bovenliggende luchtruimte wordt verminderd en de schalen zeer geschikt zijn voor lange incubaties, hoge temperaturen of gevoelige media.
