LabSen 331 gecombineerde pH-elektrode is ontworpen voor emulsies, suspensies, afvalwater en protein- of sulphidehoudende monsters. Vervaardigd met gepatenteerde Zwitserse sensortechnologie en materialen van APERA Instruments gebruikt zij een vast polymeer-elektrolyt samen met een gatdiafragmastructuur die druk weerstaat en verstopping voorkomt; het elektrolyt hoeft niet te worden bijgevuld. Een beschermende polyoxymethylene (POM)-behuizing biedt corrosiebestendigheid en helpt de elektrode te beschermen tegen impactschade. Het LabSen S-type halfbolvormige glasmembraan heeft een lage weerstand en is toch robuust, levert volledig gestabiliseerde aflezingen in 15 tot 30 seconden en biedt ongeveer tienmaal grotere taaiheid dan conventionele membranen, wat het breukrisico duidelijk vermindert. Het referentiesysteem met lange levensduur omvat een glazen buis, AgCl en een referentiezilverdraad, met katoenpakking die AgCl–elektrolytreacties bij temperatuurverschuivingen beperkt, waardoor referentiestabiliteit en levensduur verbeteren. Blauw gelelektrolyt vloeit niet en vermijdt luchtbellen. De schachtafmetingen zijn Ø12 × 120 mm. De BNC-connector werkt met meters zoals PH850, PC850, PH8500, PC8500, PH700 en soortgelijke instrumenten. Er is geen geïntegreerde temperatuursensor aangebracht; automatische temperatuurcompensatie vereist een afzonderlijke sonde of handmatige invoer.
