Elk objectglaasje meet ongeveer 76 × 26 × 1 mm en heeft 90° geslepen randen, geslepen hoeken en een 45° afschuining voor veiliger hanteren tijdens routinematige voorbereiding. Een oranje schrijfveld aan één uiteinde ondersteunt duidelijke identificatie en etikettering van het monster gedurende verwerking en archivering.
