Beschrijving
Nalgene™ analytical filter funnel is a sterile, disposable filtration unit for microbiological quality-control procedures and analytical testing of water, foods and beverages, raw materials and finished products. Each funnel offers a nominal volume of 100 mL and contains a 47 mm cellulose nitrate membrane with a pore size of 0,45 µm. The membrane surface is white with a black grid print, supporting colony enumeration and clear visual reading after filtration. Units are supplied as a case of 50 pieces and are designed for use with filter manifolds and filter flasks. The funnels meet US APHA standard methods and US EPA requirements for water-quality testing, as well as ISO 7704 certification. Membrane construction is cellulose nitrate / mixed cellulose ester (CN, MCE). These analytical filter funnels from manufacturer Thermo Scientific provide an economical single-use format for laboratories that perform routine microbial checks and product or environmental analyses. Defined pore size, gridded membrane and sterile supply support efficient sample processing in quality-control workflows.

Nalgene™ Single Use Analytical Filter Funnels is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Thermo Scientific - Laboratory Plastics for laboratory use. It sits in Büchner- & filtertrechters, inside Trechters, in Labmateriaal.
A Büchner funnel is a perforated porcelain or plastic plate used with a rubber cone and vacuum to pull liquid through a filter paper. A filter funnel is the glass cone that holds a folded paper under gravity. The plate diameter decides the paper size.
A funnel guides a liquid or a powder into a narrower mouth. A filter funnel holds a paper. A Büchner funnel is the flat perforated plate used with vacuum. A separating funnel has a stopcock so two liquid layers can be run off one at a time. A dropping funnel adds a reagent slowly into a reaction. The bore and the stopcock are the parts that matter.
