DURAN® protect GL 45-laboratoriumfles is een amberkleurige, met kunststof gecoate multifunctionele laboratoriumfles met een nominaal volume van 250 ml, geleverd zonder schroefdop en schenkring. Aan de binnenzijde gevormd uit hoogzuiver USP/EP Type I borosilicaatglas 3.3 en aan de buitenzijde afgewerkt met een beschermende PU-kunststofcoating, verenigt zij vrijwel inerte glascontactoppervlakken met externe stootbescherming. De externe amberkleuring beschermt lichtgevoelige materialen tegen fotodegradatie en biedt ultraviolette bescherming tot ongeveer 500 nm in overeenstemming met internationale USP/EP-normen, terwijl de zuiver externe kleuring de interne DURAN®-glaseigenschappen ongewijzigd laat. De coating vermindert het risico op glasbreuk en vloeistofspatten en biedt kras-, lekkage- en splinterbescherming; zij voldoet aan de eisen van ASTM E1522 en is volledig autoclaveerbaar bij 121 of 134 °C. Een robuust ISO 4796-1-ontwerp en hoogwaardige materialen ondersteunen een lange levensduur.
