Whirl-Pak® Thio Bags 1000 ml zijn steriele plastic staande monsterzakken, ontwikkeld voor het verzamelen van gechloreerd water bestemd voor tests op fecale coliformen en andere bacteriële tests. Elke zak bevat een niet-toxische, niet-nutritieve tablet van actief sodium thiosulfate die chloor neutraliseert op het moment van bemonstering. Typische toepassingsgebieden omvatten gemeentelijke watersystemen, zwembaden, afvalwater en vele andere omgevingen waar restchloor moet worden geneutraliseerd vóór microbiologische analyse. De zakken hebben een praktische beschrijfstrook voor duidelijke monsteridentificatie en zijn EPA-goedgekeurd.
