Beschrijving

Adjustable standard ground joint thermometer AMA-Exakt with enclosed scale measures from −10 °C to +360 °C at a 1 °C scale division. Built for laboratory ground-joint assemblies, it uses a prismatic uncoated capillary and a green thermometer filling for clear meniscus reading across the full range. The upper section is 350 × 10 mm and the lower section 250 × 8–8,5 mm, finished with a Richter closure without button. A ground joint cone NS 14,5/23 combined with a universal closure allows the immersion depth to be set to the apparatus in use. The instrument is calibratable and is supplied with a stem correction certificate, supporting traceable temperature work in distillation, reaction and process setups. Manufactured by Amarell in Bavaria, Germany, this enclosed-scale AMA-Exakt unit is offered as a single piece for chemical, pharmaceutical and general laboratory applications where adjustable Normschliff thermometry and reliable scale visibility are required. The combination of prismatic capillary, green filling and NS 14,5/23 joint interface makes it a practical choice for routine and controlled temperature monitoring on standard glassware.

This article is part of Laboratory glass thermometers, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about Adjustable thermometer with ground joint AMA-Exact, enclosed scale, -10+360:1°C,

What is this article?

Adjustable thermometer with ground joint AMA-Exact, enclosed scale, -10+360:1°C, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Amarell for laboratory use. It sits in Laboratory glass thermometers, inside Temperature measurement, in Instrumenten.

A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column, often with a stated immersion depth, total or partial. The range and the division decide the reading. A partial-immersion thermometer read at the wrong depth is wrong by design.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
