Onze agarose ROTI®Garose is een neutraal polysaccharide dat in vele zuiveringsstappen wordt verkregen uit de celwand van bepaalde algen, genaamd Rhodophyceae. ROTI®Garose vormt zeer heldere gels met alle standaard loopbuffers en resulteert in een scherpe en duidelijke scheiding van uw biomoleculen. Uiterst zuivere agarose met zeer lage interferentiebinding aan kleuringsreagentia. ROTI®Garose produceert een lage achtergrond en een hoog contrast na kleuring.

Chemisch gezien is agarose een galactaan dat in staat is om uiterst stevige gels te vormen, zelfs bij een lage concentratie. De poriegrootte van de gels wordt bepaald door de concentratie van de gebruikte agarose. Omdat er geen ionische groepen in de gel aanwezig zijn, zullen hydrofiele materialen zonder enige interactie met de gelmatrix ook worden gescheiden op basis van hun grootte. De hoge hysterese van de agarose, oftewel de thermische stabiliteit na stolling, zorgt ervoor dat de gels betrouwbaar stabiel blijven, zelfs tijdens warmteproducerende loopcondities.
