Onder normale werkomstandigheden blijven de fysische eigenschappen gedurende meerdere uren behouden bij 260 °C, en temperaturen tot 370 °C kunnen worden doorstaan voordat materiaaldegradatie begint. Vlammen doen de handschoenen niet smelten of oplossen; zij verkolen en vormen een beschermende korst.
