Gecontroleerd sinteren van glaspoeder met een gedefinieerde deeltjesgrootteverdeling levert een stijf poreus lichaam op dat doeltreffend als filtermateriaal in plaatvorm functioneert. De schijven blinken uit bij scheidingen met sterke zuren of alkaliën en bieden duidelijke voordelen ten opzichte van kunststof- of papieralternatieven. Zes porositeitsgraden worden aangeboden overeenkomstig de normen ISO 4796 en ASTM E128-99.
