Beschrijving

DURAN® High-Temperature Silicone Liner GL 45 is a PTFE-coated silicone insert measuring 43,5 x 3,0 mm for use with aluminium screw caps on laboratory bottles. The liner provides secure sealing corresponding to USP Class VI and is intended for high-temperature applications, including processes up to +260 °C such as depyrogenation or hot-air sterilisation. Supplied separately and not pre-assembled, the interchangeable insert simplifies further processing and replacement. It is designed to fit DURAN® GL 45 closures used on glass bottles ranging from 100 ml to 20 litres. The PTFE coating on the silicone contributes to reliable chemical resistance and barrier performance when paired with aluminium caps that protect contents from light, moisture, oxygen and other gases. Free from carbon-based plastics, plasticisers and phthalates in the associated closure system, this liner from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences supports demanding laboratory workflows including high-temperature processing, cryogenic sample storage and the handling of pharmaceutical active ingredients or sensitive materials where a robust, interchangeable sealing element is required.

This article is part of Latex & vinyl disposable gloves, in Gloves.

Questions about DURAN® GL 45 High Temperature Silicone Cap Liner, PTFE coated

What is this article?

DURAN® GL 45 High Temperature Silicone Cap Liner, PTFE coated is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Latex & vinyl disposable gloves, inside Gloves, in Veiligheid.

Latex disposable gloves fit closely and recover their shape. Vinyl is looser and is chosen when latex allergy is the concern. Both are for splash and incidental contact, not for prolonged contact with a chemical. Powder and powder-free, and the AQL, are the other choices.

A glove is a barrier on the hand, and the barrier is only as good as the hazard it was tested against. Nitrile, latex and vinyl disposable gloves are for splash and for incidental contact. A chemical-resistant glove is a different article, tested for permeation by named chemicals. A cut-resistant glove is for blades and edges. Cold and heat need yet another material. No one glove does all of these. Glove standards are listed under ISO hand protection. The legal text is the PPE Regulation. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP. Practice is at EU-OSHA.
