DURAN® geslepen kern NS 45/40 is een conisch slijpstukonderdeel voor de bouw van glazen apparatuur, vervaardigd uit borosilicate glass 3.3. Deze precisiegeslepen kern is conform DIN 12249 Form B en voldoet aan hogere eisen voor de ruwheidsdiepte van het oppervlak. De fijnere slijpkwaliteit vermindert de behoefte aan slijpvast en verlaagt het risico dat de slijpstukken vastlopen. Conische slijpstukverbindingen zijn de meest voorkomende verbindingsmethode bij de assemblage van laboratoriumglaswerk.
