DURAN® Conus met afvoer, geslepen NS 40/38 is een precisie-slijpstukcomponent voor laboratoriumapparatuur. Vervaardigd uit borosilicaatglas 3.3, heeft het een fijn geslepen oppervlak dat een geringere ruwheid en een dichte afdichting via het standaardslijpstuk biedt. De conus voldoet aan DIN 12249 Form G. De geïntegreerde afvoer fungeert als druppelring en voorkomt dat vloeistof langs de binnenwand van het vat loopt; de afvoer is doorgaans schuin afgesneden en versmolten. Daardoor komen media niet in contact met het ingevette slijpoppervlak. De extra uitlaat kan ook dienen als bevestigingspunt voor verlengingen, bijvoorbeeld als toevoerbuis.
