Beschrijving

DURAN® volumetric flask Class A amber is a high-precision borosilicate glass 3.3 laboratory vessel designed for accurate volumetric work with light-sensitive substances. This 250 ml flask carries an external amber coating that delivers reliable UV protection while leaving the inner glass surface completely unchanged, ensuring the well-known chemical resistance and thermal properties of DURAN® glass remain intact. White fired-on print and a precisely ground NS 14/23 joint complete the clear, durable markings. The flask conforms to ISO 1042 and meets the tightest Class A volume tolerances; it is calibrated to contain (In) at the +20 °C reference temperature and is supplied with an ergonomic polyethylene stopper for secure, rapid opening and closing. Each unit is accompanied by a certificate of conformity (CoC) and a batch certificate that records the measured mean volume, standard deviation and issue date of the production lot; batch certificates are also retrievable online. The four-digit batch code indicates production year and charge for full traceability. Typical applications include storage and transport of photosensitive materials, precise liquid measurement, dilution of solutions, mixing of components and classical volumetric analysis. These flasks from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences combine maximum measuring precision with long-term process stability.

Questions about DURAN® Volumetric Flask, Class A, amber, CoC and batch certificate, white print

What is this article?

DURAN® Volumetric Flask, Class A, amber, CoC and batch certificate, white print is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Volumetric flasks, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labmateriaal.

A volumetric flask is calibrated to contain one volume at a reference temperature, with a single mark on a narrow neck. Class A is the tight tolerance. It is not a storage bottle and it is not for heating. The stopper is part of the calibrated article.

Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
