Vervaardigd uit borosilicaatglas 3.3 met een nominale capaciteit van 2000 ml voldoet hij aan de nauwkeurigheidsgrenzen van ISO 1042 klasse A en omvat een conformiteitscertificaat samen met een batchcertificaat dat de gemiddelde waarde, de standaardafwijking en de uitgiftedatum vermeldt. Een uitwendige ambercoating biedt UV-afscherming terwijl het inwendige de ongewijzigde DURAN®-glaseigenschappen behoudt, met duurzame kleuring en solide chemische bestendigheid.
