EC 4/3 NUCLEOSIL CHIRAL-1 is an HPLC guard column configured to protect matching chiral analytical main columns during liquid chromatography. The cartridge measures 4 mm in length with an internal diameter of 3 mm and carries the NUCLEOSIL CHIRAL-1 stationary phase in the EC 4/3 format. Supplied as one piece per pack, it is intended for main columns with internal diameters of 3, 4 or 4,6 mm. Installation requires the Column Protection System guard column holder (REF 718966), which must be ordered separately. The short EC geometry allows convenient placement upstream of the analytical column in standard HPLC hardware when chiral selectivity consistent with NUCLEOSIL CHIRAL-1 is required. This guard column from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel supports laboratory enantioselective and related chiral separation workflows by providing dedicated precolumn protection against particulates and strongly retained matrix components.
