Fermentation vessel for bioreactor MyFerm 20 l is a glass reactor body developed for precise incubation of microorganisms and cells as well as for a wide range of chemical reaction processes. With a working volume of about 20 l to shoulder height, an outer diameter of 288 mm and a height of 480 mm, the vessel is manufactured from borosilicate glass 3.3 (Clean Save laboratory glass to DIN ISO 3585) for strong chemical and temperature resistance. A stable standing base and three integrated baffles support efficient medium mixing when used with a stirrer. The central wide-neck GL 80 opening is complemented by six additional ports—two GL 25, two GL 32 and two GL 45 external threads—for gassing, exhaust filtration, sampling, emptying and process monitoring. This vessel from manufacturer Landgraf HLL is the base for the modular MyFerm III and iV series and can be completed with probes, dip tubes, heat exchangers, temperature control jackets or mantles, magnetic or overhead stirrers, pumps and measurement technology. Fully autoclavable at 121 °C and hot-air sterilizable, it meets demanding laboratory hygiene requirements.
