Deze hydrofobe fase met pentafluorfenyl-propyl-modificatie is gebaseerd op silicagel-deeltjes met core-shell-technologie en biedt een alternatieve selectiviteit in vergelijking met klassieke C18-modificaties. Scheidingsmechanisme op basis van vier retentiemechanismen - polaire interacties (H-bruggen), dipool-dipool-interacties, π-π-interacties en hydrofobe interacties. Geschikt voor LC/MS vanwege lage bleeding-eigenschappen.
