LabSen 841 pH-elektrode is ontworpen voor nauwkeurige meting van sterk basische oplossingen in het bereik van 10–14 pH. Geproduceerd met gepatenteerde Zwitserse sensortechnologie en materialen van fabrikant APERA Instruments, gebruikt deze een LabSen HA-glasmembraan dat de nauwkeurigheid en reproduceerbaarheid in sterke basen verbetert en tegelijk de alkalische fout minimaliseert. Het halfbolvormige membraan is tot 10 keer robuuster dan conventionele producten, waardoor het breukrisico door stoten aanzienlijk wordt verlaagd. Een referentieysteem met silver ion trap in combinatie met de long-life reference voorkomt verstopping van het diafragma of verontreiniging door silver sulfide. Blauwe gelelektrolyt stroomt niet en vermijdt luchtbelvorming. De loodvrije glazen schacht meet Ø12 × 120 mm en heeft een keramisch diafragma met 3M KCl-elektrolyt. BNC-aansluiting via de kabel van Ø3 mm × 1 m zorgt voor compatibiliteit met gangbare BNC pH-meters, waaronder PH850, PC850 en vergelijkbare instrumenten. Er is geen geïntegreerde temperatuursensor aanwezig; automatische temperatuurcompensatie vereist een afzonderlijke sonde zoals de MP500 of handmatige temperatuurinvoer. Het meetbereik is 1 tot 14 pH met een aanbevolen bedrijfstemperatuur van 0 tot 130 °C. Deze dient als vervangingselektrode voor de kits PH850-SA en PH8500-SA en omvat een fabrieksgarantie van zes maanden.
