LAUDA Puridest PD 8 R is een volautomatisch monodestillatie-waterdestilleerapparaat met geïntegreerde opslagtank voor laboratoriumgebruik, geschikt voor wandmontage en tafelopstelling. De productiecapaciteit is 8 L/h en de opslagtank bevat 16 L, overeenkomend met tweemaal de uurproductie. De geleidbaarheid van het monodestillaat is 2.3 µS/cm bij 25 °C. Destillaat wordt afgetapt via een kraan met continue- en tipstanden. De condensorspiraal zit in de opslagtank en is gemakkelijk verwisselbaar. Een magneetventiel regelt de watertoevoer; destillatie van voorverwarmd koelwater bespaart energie, en automatische uitschakeling vermijdt onnodig waterverbruik. De destilleerketel is gemakkelijk toegankelijk voor reiniging en de condensor heeft een CO2-ontgassingsopening. Elektronische vervuilingsbewaking stopt de destillatie en geeft een optische reinigingsindicatie. Na aftappen van destillaat vult de tank automatisch bij onder elektronische niveauregeling. Thermostatische laagwaterbeveiliging is aangebracht. Buisverwarmingselementen, destilleerketel, opslagtank en condensor zijn van roestvast staal; de dubbelwandige behuizing is poedergecoat verzinkt plaatstaal. Een aparte waterinlaat voor voorbehandelde ketelvoeding (1/2'' slang) is geïntegreerd. Het maximale verwarmingsvermogen is 6 kW, het koelwaterverbruik 1.2 L/min, de afmetingen 780 × 410 × 540 mm en het gewicht 34 kg. De netaansluiting is 400 V; 3/N/PE; 50/60 Hz van fabrikant Lauda, met IEC 60309 CEE-stekkerkabel.
