Reactievat, cilindrisch, gegradueerd met groef in de vlakflens. Het reactievat is voorzien van een tempereermantel. De tempereermantel heeft twee aansluitingen (naar keuze GL-schroefdraadverbinding (GL 14 of GL 18) of kogelgewrichtverbinding (kogelgewricht-kogel; KF 15 of KF 25). Het reactievat met vlakflens wordt afgesloten met een deksel, dat afzonderlijk verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bij elkaar gehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring, of het gebruik van slijpvet, voorkomt dat de slijpvlakken vastlopen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn afzonderlijk verkrijgbaar. Het vat met vlakflens kan via diverse standaard slijpstukken in het deksel worden gecombineerd met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerassen en druppeltrechters). Toepassingen: voorbereidend werk, zoals algemene reacties, destillatie, verdamping en droging, waarbij vaste of viskeuze stoffen ontstaan.
