Reactievat, cilindrisch, gegradueerd met groef in de vlakflens. Het reactievat is voorzien van een temperatuurmantel. De temperatuurmantel heeft twee aansluitstukken (naar keuze GL-schroefdraadaansluiting (GL 14 of GL 18) of kogelgewrichtaansluiting (kogelgewricht-kogel; KF 15 of KF 25). Het reactievat met vlakflens wordt afgesloten met een deksel, dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bij elkaar gehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring of het gebruik van slijpvet voorkomt het vastlopen van de geslepen oppervlakken. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vat met vlakflens kan via diverse standaard slijpstukken in het deksel worden gecombineerd met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerassen en druppeltrechters).Toepassingen: voorbereidende werkzaamheden, zoals algemene reacties, distillatie, verdamping en droging, waarbij vaste of viskeuze stoffen ontstaan.
