Reactievat, cilindrisch, met schaalverdeling en groef in de vlakke flens. In de bodem van het reactievat is een aftapkraan ingebouwd. Reactievaten tot 6 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 10 mm; vanaf 10 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 20 mm. Het vlakflens-reactievat wordt afgesloten met een deksel dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bijeengehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring, of het gebruik van slijpvet, voorkomt dat de slijpvlakken vastlopen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vlakflensvat kan worden gecombineerd met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roeras-doorvoeren en druppeltrechters) door middel van diverse standaard slijpstukken in het deksel.Toepassingsgebieden: preparatief werk, zoals algemene reacties, destillaties en verdampingen.
