Reactievat, cilindrisch, met schaalverdeling en groef in de vlakflens. Het reactievat is voorzien van een temperatuurmantel. De temperatuurmantel heeft twee aansluitstukken (naar keuze GL-schroefdraadverbinding [GL 14 of GL 18] of kogelvrijflensverbinding [kogel-kom; KF 15 of KF 25]). In de bodem van het reactievat is een aftapkraan ingebouwd. Reactievaten tot 6 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 10 mm; vanaf 10 liter met een kraanopening Ø van 20 mm. Het vlakflens-reactievat wordt afgesloten met een deksel dat apart verkrijgbaar is. Beide delen worden bij elkaar gehouden door een klemring. Een afdichtring of het gebruik van slijpvet voorkomt dat de slijpstukken vastlopen. Geschikte siliconen- en FEP-afdichtringen zijn apart verkrijgbaar. Het vlakflensvat kan via verschillende standaardslijpstukken in het deksel met andere componenten (bijv. koelers, roerassen en druppeltrechters) worden gecombineerd. Toepassingsgebieden: preparatief werk, zoals reacties, destillaties en verdampingen.
