DURAN® protect GL 25 laboratory bottle is an amber, plastic-coated laboratory bottle of 25 ml nominal volume made from USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, supplied without screw cap and pouring ring. High-purity amber-coated glass is formed and then finished with an exterior PU plastic coating that reduces the risk of glass breakage and liquid splashes if the bottle breaks. The amber colouration protects light-sensitive materials against photodegradation, with ultraviolet protection conforming to international USP/EP standards up to approximately 500 nm wavelength. A standardised GL 25 thread, easily readable graduated volume scale and permanent white enamel marking field support everyday laboratory use, while the permanently printed Retrace Code on each bottle ensures full manufacturing traceability. The plastic coating meets ASTM E1522 requirements and is fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C. Outer diameter is 36 mm and height is 70 mm; the 25 ml size features a specially shaped glass rim for improved pouring.
