SONOMIC MC 1001 is een tafelmodel-ultrasoonbad voor de gelijktijdige opwerking van maximaal 12 spoelbare MIC-instrumenten en biedt een badvolume van 42.5 l. Het belangrijkste voordeel is dat elk instrument afzonderlijk wordt gereinigd en getest via een eigen adapter door meerdere zuigspoelcycli. Toevoeging van een geschikt desinfectiemiddel maakt chemische desinfectie tijdens de reinigingsstap mogelijk. Twaalf identieke adapters accepteren spoelbare MIC-instrumenten van 3 tot 10 mm diameter zonder wisseling van afdichtingen; het innovatieve draaiafdichtingsontwerp garandeert volledige afdichting op de buitenschacht van het instrument. Ultrasoon ondersteund zuigspoelen aan het distale uiteinde spoelt verontreiniging uit het lumen tegen de instroomrichting in terwijl verse oplossing wordt aangezogen, waardoor vuil zich niet kan afzetten op nauwe punten zoals het handvat. Vrijgekomen vuil wordt tegengehouden in een toegankelijk filter. Een in het programma geïntegreerde test controleert de vrije doorgang van elk instrument en signaleert niet-doorgankelijke apparaten.
