Testinkten kunnen informatie geven over de hechtsterkte van drukinkten, lakken en lijmen op alle oppervlakken zoals kunststof, metaal en glas, en over de reinheidsgraad in mN/m (dyne/cm).
ROZE testinkten zijn testvloeistoffen met een gedefinieerde oppervlaktespanning die roze gekleurd zijn. Ze zijn ontwikkeld om niet-giftige testinkten aan te bieden. Deze ROZE testinkten kunnen worden gebruikt als vervanging voor de BLAUWE testinkten, aangezien de toepassing en hantering gebaseerd is op DIN 53364 of ISO 8296. Resultaat: Als de randen van de met een kwastje, wattenstaafje of stift aangebrachte lijn binnen 2 of 4 seconden (afhankelijk van de inktspecificatie) samentrekken, herhaal de meting dan met de eerstvolgende lagere waarde. Als de randen uitlopen, herhaal de meting dan met de eerstvolgende hogere waarde. De oppervlaktespanning is bereikt wanneer de lijn gedurende 2 of 4 seconden (afhankelijk van de inktspecificatie) net niet samentrekt.
