TICKOPUR KS 1 is een vloeibaar corrosiebeschermingsconcentraat voor ferrometalen, geleverd in een verpakking van 2 liter voor gebruik na ultrasone reiniging met TICKOPUR-preparaten en aansluitend spoelen met water. Het is bedoeld voor gedemonteerde en niet-gedemonteerde machines, gereedschappen, apparaten en onderdelen in industrie, ambacht en laboratoria, en is geformuleerd voor SONOREX-ultrasone eenheden evenals dompel-, wis- en hogedrukbehandeling. Het product beschermt grijs gietijzer, hardmetalen en onbeschermde staalsoorten van verschillende legeringen, helpt resterende reinigingsoplossingen en verontreinigingen uit de laatste spoeling te verwijderen en laat na drogen een film achter die niet olieachtig en niet vetachtig is. Oplossingen zijn corrosieremmend, oplosmiddelvrij en biologisch afbreekbaar. Met ultrageluid is de typische dosering 0.2 – 2 % gedurende 0.5 – 2 minuten bij 20 – 80 °C; zonder ultrageluid 0.5 – 2 % gedurende 2 – 5 minuten bij hetzelfde temperatuurbereik. Vanaf ongeveer 1.5 % kunnen mengsels met leidingwater troebel worden—gedemineraliseerd water heeft de voorkeur. Het verwarmen van de gebruiksklare oplossing tot 80 °C ondersteunt snelle droging door restwarmte; het drogen mag 130 °C niet overschrijden. De bescherming is met water afspoelbaar.
